Ah yes, in the end another fantastic Baxter's Loch Ness Marathon and on a personal level another consistent performance. As predicted the sun shone from the start, the atmosphere around the finish area and along the route was fantastic and the course record was broken by Simon Tonui who completed in 2hrs 20mins 13secs - 46 secs better than the previous best ! With success like this I have no doubt that the event will continue to grow and continue to raise substantial money for charities. All credit to Malcolm Sutherland and his team who have organised the event since it's inception back in 2002
For those curious I staggered home in 3hrs 59mins 2secs - the third time I have gone under 4hrs !
