Just in case anyone out there thought I had stopped doing the Evergreen blog.... it will resume on a regular basis again in the New Year! In the meantime, I wish all regular readers of my blog a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Work is progressing on our new ensuite in the Master bedroom. For those who read this blogg regularly, you may remember back in early November we said we were taking out the jacuzzi and replacing it with a seperate shower and bath in response to visitor feedback. Well, it was duly removed on Monday and the ensuite stripped out completely. All went without problems until the floor was taken up to reveal some 'interesting' plumbing! We can sort it, but it never ceases to amaze me what some tradesmen will do in order to make 'things fit'. It's like they run out of a part and instead of getting another they simply 'adapt' a similar part which is fine until you come to renew things!

There, I feel better now...

Very cold here on Loch Ness the other night with the temperature dropping down to -5C. When we got up and looked out over the loch I could have sworn it was frozen - just look at the photos. But then commonsense prevailed, Loch Ness does not freeze ! Why? Because it is so deep the water temperature remains a balmy 5C all the year round....
