With the days now becoming much longer work in the garden beckons once again ! A bit early for tending to the flowers and bushes but trees, yes. As you may be aware Hazelgrove nestles in to the hillside with trees on three sides, and over the years they have grown to the extent that some were severely limiting light over both Hazelgrove and Evergreen during the summer months. So, last month with the help of the Forestry Commission, we had several very large trees felled. Sad to see them go but what a difference to the light! The wood will also come in handy for the wood burner in Hazelgrove -only thing is now we have to chop them up in to logs small enough that they can be used and believe me this is going to take a few weeks!
